Child Care Resources of Rockland offers a variety of services and professional development and training opportunities. Our workshops, seminars, annual conference and courses are designed to meet the needs of child care professionals working with young children in early childhood programs: family child care, group family child care, child care centers, school age programs and nursery schools.
- Our professional development opportunities address the ten NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) topic areas. We offer two-hour workshops on specific topics; seminar series (2-5 sessions) that explore topics in more depth, may also be scheduled; Child Development Associate (CDA) courses and on-site staff development services. We also sponsor an all day (3 training hours) annual Early Childhood and School Age Care Conference.
- All workshops receive OCFS training credit in at least one of the ten required training component areas. In addition, CEU's are available. Child Care Resources of Rockland's workshops are not eligible for college credit.
- Technical assistance is available to assist programs in room arrangements, material selection, establishing new programs or expanding existing programs and a variety of other topics.
- Professional development planning and early childhood career counseling are also available.
