Child Care Tuition Scholarship Fund

The Child CareTuition Scholarship Fund was created to help families with low income cover the high cost of child care. Providing this assistance is one way we can Stand Up for Rockland's Children and help to open the door to the opportunities they deserve. The fund is supported in part by the United Way of Rockland and by contributions made by people like you!

The first few years of a child's life are the most critical for learning. By age five, ninety percent of a child's brain has developed, which is why access to safe, quality child care is essential for all children. These early years set the stage for positive school outcomes, social stability, and workforce readiness.

Access to affordable, high-quality child care allows parents to go to work or further their education with peace of mind, which in turn improves the overall quality of life for their families. The Child Care Tuition Scholarship Fund helps to provide these significant outcomes and we are committed to assisting more families that are struggling.

On September 25, 2019, we held the first annual Stand Up for Rockland's Children event - a benefit to support the Child Care Tuition Scholarship Fund. Fred and Vickie Frelow were the recipients of the first Jane Brown* award.
