Rockland County has hosted state funded PreK seats for over 25 years.  Every school district has an allotted number of seats and the majority of those seats are located in community-based child care programs. Child Care Resources of Rockland supports families and providers by providing information sessions about Prek, helping families decide which program is best for them and their child, and by supporting the professional development needs of the programs.

In Rockland County there are fewer Prek seats than 4 year olds so in many school districts there is a lottery process.
