Health & Safety for Home-Based Providers

This competency-based 15 hour training provides a foundation for practices that promote and protect the health and safety of children in home-based child care. Successful completion of this course is required for all new family or group family day care applicants in New York State prior to licensure or registration, as well as for existing family or group family day care providers who change location or modality. This course is required for all new FDC and GFDC providers by NYS OCFS.

This is a four-day in-person training: October 29th, November 5th, 12th & 19th.
A minimum of two fully paid participants are required to hold the training session and a refund will be issued if the class is cancelled due to low enrollment.

Registration Details:
1. Visit www.ecetp.pdp.albany.edu
2. If you have an account, log in using your username and password.
3. If you do not have an account, create one and then move on to # 4.
4. Once logged in, select, “Apply for Health and Safety”
5. To locate the desired training enter Danielle Ball in the keyword search.
6. This will bring up all the scheduled Health & Safety classes.
7. Complete any identifying information and confirm that it is all correct.
8. An email will be sent to the trainer and someone from our Operations Department will contact you for payment arrangements.
9. After payment is settled, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

Please note: Dates are different than the Training Calendar.
Participants are required to attend all days in order to receive full training credit.
