It’s never too early to begin reading to a child! Reading is one of the most important things you can do to build a child’s vocabulary and develop their love of words. Reading, looking at books, or sharing stories is a time to connect. Explore how to make reading time
interactive even with our youngest children, and how to create your stories without a book!

The Nyack Basics Campaign is helping to ensure all parents and caregivers know what they can do for babies to learn and thrive. The Basics are five evidence based , fun, simple, and powerful ways to help all our children aged 0-3 grow to be happy and smart. Learn what you do to help the children in your care thrive and learn. (You don’t have to live or work in Nyack to be part of this exciting movement!)
