FREE Hydration for Young Children (OPWDD)

Our bodies cannot function properly without enough water, which is roughly 60% of our body weight. Water helps transport oxygen, fat, and glucose to muscles and regulates body temperature, digestion of foods, and elimination of waste. Young children are especially susceptible to dehydration, due to body size and rate of metabolism. This workshop will explore the critical role hydration plays in both mental and physical development and the variety of means to stay hydrated through not only water but a variety of fruits and vegetables.
